Pickering #7, s/n 3286: is privately owned by Dr. Al Nickel. He purchased the locomotive from the Westside & Cherry Valley RY in 1982. It was trucked to the Castro Point RY and a substantial amount of work was done to the locomotive to return it to service, but it never ran there. In 1997, the #7 and several pieces of Pickering rolling stock also owned by the Dr. Nichel were trucked to Railtown at Jamestown, CA. This is kind of fitting, actually, as the Pickering sent its locomotives to Jamestown many a time. The history of the locomotive should also note its return to steam in 1971 as "Sugar Pine RY" #7...
