Palmtree Munro Tramway (name on official documents) was also referred to as: Munro's Tramway, Munro's Hampton Tramway, A. & D. Munro Tramway, and Munro's Hampton-Perseverance Tram. Both of A. & D. Munro Co. Shays were lettered with "MUNRO". In service until the tramway closed in 1936. Major components of the locomotive were donated to the Illawarra Light Railway Museum Society in 1974. Albion Park, near Wollongong, NSW, Australia. Illawarra Light Railway Society Shay Project note (11-15-2000) from: Richard Wilson, Australia: The I. L. R. M. S. Ltd. has the remains of the two Munro Tramway Shays, 906 & 2097 as well as a few bogie parts from 2800 and other steam loco parts. The plan was to make an operational 2' gauge Shay, with most parts from sn-906. Project not completed. (2014) Water tank from sn-906 returned to Palmtree area for a static display along the original tramway line.
